a battle within my body

a challenge every day
a battle within my body
my spirit and my flesh
the struggle of free will…
 
a war as in the Garden
of good and evil,
wanting to walk with You
but my brokenness fails me…
 
a battle within my body
an ancient war raging
the essential nature of man,
our spirit and our flesh…
