in the midst of danger
of the darkest night,
in my distress, in adversity,
the third watch, midnight,
I will praise You, oh God…
 
I will not forget Your Law,
the love you pour out on me,
Your Law will be on my tongue,
though the wicked may bind me,
I will turn to You, oh Lord…
 
in the midst of night,
at the third watch, at midnight,
in the middle of the storm,
I will rise to praise You,
I will sing of Your love…

The Psalm speak of midnight, which is the start of the "12 to 3 AM prayer watch," or the "Third Watch," is a time of prayer and spiritual focus, often associated with spiritual warfare and seeking divine intervention.  It is a time of heightened spiritual activity, where believers are encouraged to pray against darkness and evil forces.
