Feeling her hug
against me, so quick,
so sudden, so real
for me a moment
to treasure, repeated often
at the corner
moments of closeness
of greeting in a personal way
coming together at the end
of her school day
a walk to the house
back warm inside
and a debrief on the stuff
of her day
