So easy to say things that will hurt
to cut down when we should lift up
to judge to quickly, blurt out a thought
choose our words wisely
for words hurt, more than sticks and stones
for we hear the words and
cannot help feeling their cut, their sting
So, we must be mindful, careful
deliberate in speaking
words of love
