these times, each one, set apart
each seeking their own rewards
little of the common good remaining
chasing other idols, things of the earth
longing for fame, for wealth
stepping on our neighbors
in the pursuit of power
Little of the love of Christ
the caring for the lost
serving our fellow man
as our savior served us all
Sacrifice for the common good
shoulders to the wheel
Instead our hands for greed
seeking our own rewards
