Now, today, not just in the upper room,
the flames of Pentecost
still, now, today, the Holy Spirit
filling us, giving us voice
for those who follow the cross
Our lives in the savior’s steps
following where we are led
empowered to spread the word
his message of love
for those needing to be fed
The poor, the sick , the prisoners here
upon this mortal coil
hearing the love of the Lord
in the fields as they toil
Going to where the hungry are
doing the savior’s work
loving our neighbors as ourselves
going to places near and far
wherever the spirit leads
