The leaders, the disciples
gathered in one place
behind a locked door
fear upon their face
Huddled in prayer
not knowing what to do
Christ in their presence
the night now a brighter hue
Through a locked door he had come
to bring the spirit to dwell inside their hearts
No longer timid, no longer meek and mild
boldly now empowered
to spread his heavenly call
Going from this upper room
to act and spread the news
going where the master led
to do his mighty deeds
