God speaking still to us
through the words unspoken
the words of that humble man
in the choices, his living
Joseph of Bethlehem
righteous in his actions
open to the angel’s call
speaking in dreams
Faithful to God
humble, a servant
accepting Mary
raising our Lord, Jesus
No songs, no quotations
yet his words still speaking
a humble man, in his actions
a model for how to live
Submitting to God
complicit in his living
following the will of God
submitting by his actions
