we think of Jesus serious
of his mission on earth
but we forget the Savior
had a humble birth
we forget the human
the man, Jesus,
we forget the joy
the smile on his face
we think of Jesus serious
the burden of sacrifice
but we deny him mercy
love while he lived
Jesus came to bring life
life in its fullness
work to do in time
rest in its season
play as the little ones
unburdened by the world
singing the song of the
people
trusting in the Lord
