so easy to ask
when someone asks for money,
especially in a big city,
not knowing anything about
them
how will they use it
for beer, for drugs
for some addiction
do they double-dip,
game the system,
what is the call of Jesus
to help those in need
when we don’t know
our neighbors and
what they really need
