a consort for Pamola

A cloud her body, her gown
in darker colors, deeper,
than the fire of her wings
yet wondrously alive;
a consort for Pamola
thunder god, guardian
watching over the mountain

Her form new-spun gossamer
her image so clear
looking down upon the earth
a flowing, living robe,
shifting so quickly
a Victorian angel
lingering over Your mountain

So quickly she came
so soon departed
evaporating into swirls
but we saw her with us
her body, a halo, the lines of her robe
wings arched behind her
hovering across the sunset

Her body, her gown, pastel slates
painted over the deepening blue
wings of luminous fire
in dusty roses and pinks
lit from below, within,
alive in their beating
across the September sunset

A consort for Pamola
guardian of the great mountain
a counterpoint to his anger
in darker tones of thunder
fire in the sky
hovering over the mountain
dancing in the air
