Is it worshipped or worshiped

Yes may be the answer,
that we all worship God
but we, humans, have created the tower
the Babel in this world

One may say we worshipped
another that we worshiped
if we want to share the message
the message of God’s love

Needing to be mindful
that some spell the same word different
spell it both ways to reach them
to reach them around the world

God’s holy message
perhaps gods of this earth
wanting to obscure the Word in Babel
by how we spell each word

Learning today that the word that I believe should be spelled
“worshipped” is seen by the weblog program Blogger and Twitter as misspelled
yet spelled correctly by the Word word processing program
&
It is spelled “worshipped in the King James Bible (KJV)
and spelled “worshiped in the New International Bible (NIV)
&
A Google search of “worshipped” has 13.3 million hits, while
A Google search of “worshiped” has 16.6 million hits. WOW!
