Only by your gracious gift

No matter how convicted
how much we know our sin
we are given everlasting life
by nothing we ever did
Only by your gracious gift
Christ coming to earth
do we have a chance to live

Only because he paid the price
are any of us free
thinking of his horrible pain
staring in his face
Reaching deep within me
looking in his eyes
wanting to be with him
when our Savior dies
