The temerity to Rebuke God – v3

Would I have been so ready

so brash, as bold,

as Peter had been

the temerity to rebuke God

to tell God what to do

Would I have thought of myself

not wanting Christ to die

challenging His words

wanting Him to be an earthly king

not enthroned in the sky
