You were burning within me
pouring over me, wave after wave
of joy, of repentance, of grace
heaped on me, filling me whole
Oh I am so glad You made us expandable
not rigid, able to be stretched, to grow
yearn for me, to know you better
to experience more of the grace
all around, to drink in Your Word,
the wisdom, the sharing, the communion
walking together on the road
where you led, so long ago
Burning white hot within me
wanting to spread the joy
welling up within me,
to bring more to you,
through the words you give me
wanting to spread the good news
around the world
one poem at a time
