We stand, we all stand,
naked before God,
exposed as surely as they were
in the Garden, after the fall
standing before God, in our imperfection,
every blemish seen, every sin known
Our hope, our need, for forgiving grace
equal before God, because sin is sin
and the breach is equal
His failing was in seeing a difference
in his atoning through rituals
without appropriate reverence
and bowing humbly before God
