There before, those among us
sitting with the saints
in the sanctuary, this community of faith
being with the saints, on this day of remembrance
intoning their names, filling the altar with their light
the glow of their faithfulness
lighting our morning, our worship
honoring them, remembering them
walking with them, on this our journey of faith
humbly following their path
so we too may be examples, symbols,
echoes of Christ, when our days are past
and the next generation gathers, remembering too
the saints that have gone before, the saints they have known
