As part of life, part of healing,
of the measure of the prayer
being forgiven, as we ourselves forgive
One of those who must be forgiven
whose past must be left behind
each one of us, forgiving our own
our sins, those of which
we have repented
part of our prayer too
part of its meaning
that God forgives us
and so must we
