a sea of candles,
glowing brightly on the simple lace
the linen on the altar
shimmering gold, the shadows,
the candles’ flickering, quivering
burning brightly, during our worship
lit, one by one, in the name of Christ
in the name of one of the saints
who have touched our lives
remembering them with him, our brother
the perfector of our faith
the humble example
of a faithful life
All burning,
centering our service
our worship
our lives
