For the world, for each of us
he brought salvation, the offer of grace
sealing the rift
the chasm between God and man
the willfulness, the consequences
choosing the other way
Filling the gap with his body, his blood
bearing the weight alone
carrying that which we cannot
his sacrifice, holy and pure
worthy, sufficient
for all time
