God is there, throughout life,
for all eternity
there in the fire, the clouds
going before the people
in the winds, the stormy blast, the thunder
in the times of struggle, of change
the Lord is there in the darkest night,
the light of a new dawn, a new day come
There in the singing, the praises of angels
the prayers of the faithful, in the heart of each believer
God, Christ there too in the silence, the stillness
in times we quiet ourselves
when we open our hearts to your call, whispers
There when we serve others,
in the light of Christ, when we are that light
God is there.
