For he has set down,
written and treasured
the instructions on how we are to live
the words of the prophet, the ancient scrolls
claimed by the teacher as his own
His life a living example
putting the words, the prophecy
into motion, caring for them,
those of which the words spoke
the least, the last, the lost
humbly serving, sharing himself
giving as there was need
guiding us by the days of his life
sacrificing all so we may be sheep
living out his ministry all of our days
