So I Send You, sown
seeds cast, not capriciously,
lovingly, spread into the world
sent into the darkness, bits of his light
on the wind of the Holy Spirit
sent by our brother, our risen savior
empowered, his messengers, his ambassadors
his emissaries into the world
as the father sent him, so he sends us
to find fertile soil, to root, to grow
to shine in the darkness
an ever widening arc, a beacon
illuminating, bearing fruit
preparing a harvest for the reaper
sheep for the shepherd
at the end of the age
