Out of the water
came the dry earth
all life beginning
as our own birth
living waters of life
Life from the waters
the chaos, the maelstrom
God creating, speaking
let there be light
God’s living breath.
Out of the water
our journey, our path
our struggles, our trials
keeping us down
caught by the earth.
Life from the waters
if we turn unto God
walking, faithful
trusting, believing,
focused on our God.
