Unhappy, poopy, smelly diapers
the baby bottle in the crib.
Was she drooling or talking,
mumbling something, crawling in place…
Toys everywhere, spit-up, throw up in her hair
Trouble with her binky as she fell asleep.
Unhappy whining I came running to the room
Trying to keep her happy;
smiling, playing as she woke from her nap
Suddenly, she was teething no longer pretty or cute lying there grumpy… what was I to do?
The pull-ups must have been super human,
as she went to the bathroom, a big smile on her face!
I helped to pick her up
placing her in the stroller;
The people on our walk waving to us
The ripe smell of her small dirty diaper
She laughed a mean laugh
as she ate another tiny booger
She’s a great little sister,
even if she keeps me awake!
