Seeing Christ in Their Faces

Those whom society would reject
the poor, the lost, the sick
seeing Christ in the face of all of them
blessed before God, so Jesus said
not whom the world would reward

Not currying favor in the halls of power
seeking after the Lord
those who are blessed
not rewarded on earth
seeking their heavenly home
