In bowing in prayer
asking for forgiveness of our sin
reminders of your mercy
for all that we had done
cleaned by the blood of the son
Stumbling as a human
on this mortal coil
yet coming with a repentant heart
my life to be restored
Giving so much
pouring out his love
more than I can explain
the love of God for me
overwhelming to my core

Prayer of Confession
“Loving God, hold not our sins against us; but
hold us up against our sins; so that in you we are
reminded, not of our sin, but of your forgiveness,
not just of what we are but what we might become.”
- based on prayer four, “Hold Us Up Against Our Sins”,

“Father in Heaven! Hold not our sins up against us but
hold us up against our sins so that the thought of You
when it wakens in our soul, and each time it wakens,
should not remind us of what we have committed but
of what You did forgive, not of how we went astray
but of how You did save us!”
