Asked by John’s disciples
the one preparing the way
if he was the one foretold of
the king come to save
His life was his answer
that they should observe and report
witnesses of his power
his love for us on earth
Doing what God would command
caring for the least and the lost
healing the needy with his love
living a servant’s life
