The Spirit of that Fire

We as a people marked
the spirit of that fire
still burning, now
within each beating heart
Pentecost flames living
guiding us to action
speaking, doing,
loving our neighbor
walking as his children
sheep of this shepherd
chosen and sent
doing our master’s work
