in remembering the Advent story
in
the babe in the manger
in
the story of the wise men
the
shepherd, the angels
proclaiming
Christ’s birth,
in
the connection to Golgotha
to
the Skull, that hill
a
man now climbing
to
bear our sin, our cross,
we
remember the promise
in
Christ’s grace of sacrifice,
we
remember God’s mercy
and
Christ’s promise to return.
in
remembering the Advent story
we
cleave to the message
that
Christ came to set us free
this
is not the end.
