A rock thrown in the pond,
full force, or a flat stone skipped,
dancing off the surface, until it dives,
or maybe, just maybe, thousands of pebbles,
thrown, hurled, dropped,
even gently coaxed into the water
ripples, reverberating, echoing,
growing into a groundswell
a tsunami, a tidal wave,
to change the face of the planet
to change the discussion
at least for a day, a moment,
change the wind, moving the discussion,
the discourse, onto on topic of importance
where we live, the place we call home.
