My words leave footprints,
ripples, echoes in time,
not just the words I am proud of,
but every single word…
 
My words are forever,
every word I have spoken,
every word that leaves my lips,
even those spoken in silence,
only within my heart, my spirit…
 
Any words I have conjured,
leave permanent footprints,
sometimes to lift up, to edify,
sometimes in anger, in argument,
sometimes leaving scars…
 
My words are forever,
every word I have spoken,
written in the sands of time,
for better and for worse…
