Heal their Hearts

Lord, it is funny when You convict us,
when You speak to our hearts in truth,
drawing us to confession, to repentance,
to ask for, to offer Your healing word…
 
In the silence of my spirit, in worship,
as the pastor spoke before the congregation,
I heard Your still small voice,
a prayer for their hearts
for Your glory and my good…
 
Heal their hearts as only You can
for the sins that I have committed,
mitigate the harm I caused them,
though it may be years ago…
 
In ways that only You can,
root out the scars of my betrayal
the sins of my flesh, my spirit,
that separated me from them…
Heal their hearts as only You can…
