Chains on our lives

we hold onto our hurts,
resentments, unforgiveness,
not releasing our hands
from around their necks,
chains of our own making,
fetters on our salvation,
denying God’s sovereignty
His perfect justice…
 
we must forgive, fully,
if we are to be forgiven…
we must trust God
in His perfect justice…
“Vengeance is Mine”,
God’s noble verdict,
God has dominion
over everything…
 
release the chains,
that curse, that bind us,
give every claim
into God’s hands…
He is the Creator, Savior,
God is the righteous Judge,
Turn them all over
to God’s infinite love…
