Pictures from another life,
of other lives, forgotten and remembered
fell from the boxes, from the envelopes
from among the mementos
the kitsch and the clutter
in frames and in my memory
pictures of earlier moments
of happy times, far away and faded
moments of wonder, in the taking
in the remembering,
wistful moments, preserved
saved on the film
disconnected from current reality
shards now, of another life
of other lives
