strain of the weight at the end of each
offering plates
full of our meager gifts
hands held outstretched
Mirroring the wooden cross
mounted to the back wall of the chancel
Echoes of the unspoiled hands,
in offering
nails piercing
those outstretched hands
a priceless gift
never to be repaid
Imagery captured in the July sun
this morning, as she lead us
in the Lord’s Prayer
