It was in Herod’s time, when the world
changed for all time and everywhere
a babe was born,
heralded by angels
bowed down to by
shepherds,
by the lamb
and the camel
by the
wise men three
for He was
the Messiah
the lamb of God
born of the
virgin
in a stable
bed
a humble start
for a servant king
But king He was and is
and Herod’s fear was real
for the rejected block is now
the cornerstone for the Temple
