Lights, out in the open,
shining in the darkness
giving direction, comfort,
through the shoals of life,
the storms of the world
the winds that turn us about
the darkness that can overwhelm
We must turn to the light,
project it out into the world
shining in the dark places
hope where there is despair
food where there is hunger
love where there is hate
