Colossians 3:12-17:
Lessons, tools
teachings of the apostle
believing enough
to turn from his path
offering his life
a living testament
a testimony of faith
in the living God
Clothed with:
Our lives to be lived
day to day grace
offering Christ
how we live outside
beyond the walls
after Sunday
out in the world
robed with virtues
characteristics, fruits
overlaid with Love
Peace:
Looking to Christ
for his love,
his guidance
guidance for all of our days
our life as a church
as members
as disciples
out in the world
always looking inward
to the Spirit’s calling
answering with Isaiah
here I am, send me
Thankful:
Joy, real joy
living through us
drenched with grace
awareness of our blessing
showered with love
living waters of God
soaked to saturation
needing to be poured
effervescence of our spirits
brimming to overflowing
Teach:
All of us teachers
lifelong learners
on a wondrous journey
all of our days
to be living lessons
embodiments of Christ
offering others
a sense, a foretaste
to draw them in
to be immersed themselves
into the living waters
Always:
Every action
all of our speaking
where we are led
the lives that we project
always in his name
in the loving name of Jesus
in this we are worthy
following his commands
offering grace, love
to our fellow man
