Our joy must be kindled
the ancient hope revealed
the fulfillment in our savior
all of mankind healed
Fanning the flames of joy
the song of the ages
the hope the saints kindled
to be tended by us
We are the forebears
of those who will follow
we must share the good news
planting our seeds richly
Sowing our joy
even when we are threatened
our task to bear witness
as we are commissioned
To be his hands and feet
his voice in the world
to be the flames in this time
the light to all the nations
