Will We Stand Like Jesus

Will our model be the disciples
cowering in the boat
sitting when Christ called them
to come, to walk on water

Will we stand like Jesus
speaking truth to power
will John the Baptist guide us
calling those judging vipers

Will we walk
as Paul did after his conversion
risking all in this life
that others may know Jesus

Will we stand like Peter
going onto the water
led by his faith in Christ
to stand on stormy seas
