confusion lifts

their sorrow now joy
understanding the moment
Christ in their midst
in the locked upper room
revealing all of scripture
how his life was foretold
the law, the prophets, the psalms
the Messiah had to suffer
He would rise on the third day
all had come to pass before them
in the life of Christ
fruition of God’s plan with them
our gate to paradise
