to be Christ in the world

not to sit in the pews
singing the old hymns
not to greet one another
happy in our sin

We are commissioned
to be Christ in the world
he did not suffer the cross
he did not rise for us

not to sit in our pews
comfortable in our place
we are to go into the world
and share God’s gift of grace
