the full measure of my joy

In Christ’s prayer before ascending
returning to the Father
praying for protection
that God would save us
keep us from harm
while we walked the earth
safe from all troubles
the temptations of the world

Christ praying further
that God would bless of richly
that we would be of one mind
all believers as one
that the full measure of Christ’s joy
faithful to the Father
that God would grant this to us
all believers in the flock
