Afraid liked they were
wandering, running,
cloistered
seemingly alone in the
world
yet Christ here to
comfort
to assure us of a future
the better angels of our
nature
to serve, to share, the
bear his light
the love we are given
Christ knocking,
enters in if we let him
the Spirit, the Savior
the love of God manifest
coming to each one of us
erstwhile disciples
into our locked minds
to heal and to change us
Appearing to each of us
the One who was raised
from the dead
Christ stands with us, by
grace,
yes with we who have run
away
who have denied him
with us as he had
promised
before his climbed the
cross
before He became our
sacrifice
