only in the stillness

you speak to me, Lord

more often than I aware           

more than I imagine

in nature, in family

in my cluttered mind

you speak to me, Lord

in the little things

you call to me

all the time

I hear you, Lord

only in the stillness

only in the silence

when I am at peace

when I quiet my mind

I hear you, Lord

I am humbled

that you, oh Lord

would speak to me
