the curtain wide open – v2

The Tent of the Meeting
was before us
but it is profoundly different
because the curtain was  wide open;
God's love is available for all of us.

The altar was pulled forward
out of the Holy of Holies
outside of the tent;
The Presence of God
is available to all of us.

The golden cross was
removed from the altar;
The empty cross of Christ
stands as a reminder
that the victory was won.

Flowing down from the altar
a rainbow, living water
flowing down, over the stones;
The water is
washing our cares away.

The Tent of the Meeting
was before us
but it is profoundly different
because the curtain was  wide open;
God's love was poured out,
washing over all of us.
