More than she realized
the feeling of being empty
separated from the body
out there alone
wandering, searching,
feeling abandoned, lost
Hope needed joy
the love of Jesus
a place of belonging
Hope needed joy
to be made whole
to be healed
Joy needed hope
outside the circle
to be whole, complete,
to have purpose, meaning
Joy needed hope
to change, to heal
to restore the circle
the piece that was missing
to move past her comfort
into service, witness
Joy needed hope
to be healed
