I hide from my fears – v2

I hide from my fears

pulling the covers over

hitting the snooze alarm

too often, time and again.

 

“I cannot do this;

I’m done, I’m broken;”

I say it out loud,

attracting more sorrow.

 

But I pray to God, to the Father,

to the Spirit indwelling

to my risen Lord Jesus,

for God to take over.

 

I breathe a prayer into the universe,

my hope in Your promise;

You answer me, Lord,

in power, in abundance.

 

You make a way for me,

though I am still broken;

You answer my prayers;

You open another door.
