making other things my God

not giving God first position
letting other things get in the way
not loving God with my whole heart
being pulled astray…
 
convicted now in my spirit
God’s Spirit speaking to me
making other things my god,
when God offers Himself to me…
 
I feel the tension within me
as I am on this journey
the pull of the moment
false idols I am building…
 
needing to reject these masters
to give God the first position
turning my whole life over
to our loving God…
